What to Expect at Your First Hair Loss Appointment
Your first hair loss appointment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to determine why you're experiencing hair loss or thinning before deciding how to treat it.
01 — Detailed Hair Loss History
We review when your hair loss began, how it has changed over time, and potential contributing factors including your medical history, medications, nutrition, hormones, stress, lifestyle and family history.
02 — Hair & Scalp Examination
Your hair and scalp are carefully examined for patterns of thinning, shedding, inflammation, breakage and other findings that can help identify the type and cause of your hair loss.
03 — Trichoscopy + Baseline Photography
Magnified scalp imaging (trichoscopy) helps identify changes in the hair follicles and scalp that may not be visible to the naked eye. Standardized photographs create an objective baseline to monitor hair density and treatment response over time.
04 — Laboratory Testing + Biopsy
When indicated, laboratory testing may be reviewed or ordered to evaluate nutritional, hormonal, metabolic or other medical contributors to hair loss. A scalp biopsy may be recommended when the diagnosis is unclear or a scarring or inflammatory form of hair loss is suspected.
05 — Diagnosis + Personalized Treatment Plan
We’ll discuss your diagnosis, what may be contributing to your hair loss, and which treatment options are appropriate for you. Your personalized plan may include prescription or topical therapies, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations, supplements when appropriate, and in-office regenerative treatments based on your diagnosis and goals.
Initial Hair Loss Evaluation - $595
Laboratory testing, biopsy, prescriptions and additional treatments are not included in the evaluation fee and are recommended only when appropriate.

About Hair Loss
-
Hair loss is rarely as simple as choosing a supplement or starting a hair growth serum. Different types of hair loss require different treatment strategies, which is why an accurate diagnosis matters.
My approach starts with understanding your pattern of hair loss, health history and potential contributing factors. From there, I create a targeted treatment plan designed to reduce shedding, preserve existing hair and support healthier growth over time.

Hair loss can appear as gradual thinning, excessive shedding, a widening part, a receding hairline or more noticeable areas of hair loss. Common causes include androgenetic alopecia, often called female or male pattern hair loss, hormonal changes, stress-related shedding, nutritional deficiencies and certain medical conditions.
Because more than one factor may be contributing, proper evaluation is key to choosing the right treatment and avoiding months of trial and error.
