How Ellacor Body Works

Ellacor uses hollow microcoring needles to remove microscopic columns of skin in a controlled pattern. Unlike treatments that rely primarily on heat to stimulate collagen, Ellacor physically removes a small percentage of skin during treatment.

  • Ellacor® Body uses micro-coring technology to physically remove tiny columns of skin. Unlike lasers, radiofrequency, or ultrasound treatments, it does not rely on heat to treat the skin.

    During your consultation, I’ll assess whether Ellacor, CO₂ laser resurfacing, or another approach best fits your skin concerns, recovery preferences, and goals.

  • Ellacor® Body can be used to address loose, crepey skin in selected areas, including:

    • Abdomen

    • Upper arms

    • Thighs

    • Around the knees

    • Buttocks

    I evaluate your skin quality, degree of laxity, and treatment goals to determine which areas are appropriate for treatment and whether Ellacor is the best option for you.

  • Initial healing typically takes 3–5 days, followed by redness or changes in skin pigmentation that may remain visible for several weeks. Recovery varies depending on the area treated and your individual healing response.

    I’ll provide personalized aftercare instructions and explain what to expect before treatment.

  • Results develop gradually as the treated skin heals and remodels. Improvement may become noticeable within several weeks and continue over the following months. The timeline and degree of improvement vary by treatment area and individual response.

    We’ll assess your progress at follow-up visits and discuss whether additional treatment would be helpful.

    A series of treatments may be recommended for optimal results.

  • Ellacor® Body is intended to improve the appearance of loose, crepey skin in selected treatment areas. The degree of improvement varies with your skin quality, the amount of laxity, and the area treated. Multiple sessions may be recommended.

    The goal is improvement rather than surgical-level removal of excess skin. During your consultation, I’ll explain what is realistic for your body and whether another treatment would better meet your goals.

  • Ellacor Body may be an option for selected areas of mild to moderate skin laxity, but it does not provide the same degree of skin removal as surgery. Significant loose or hanging skin may be better addressed with a surgical procedure.

    During your consultation, I’ll explain whether Ellacor is appropriate or whether a surgical consultation would better support your goals.

  • Ellacor Body starts at $4,000 for an initial treatment of one body area. Pricing depends on the size and number of areas treated. You’ll receive a personalized quote before treatment.

  • As a board-certified dermatologist, I personally perform every Ellacor treatment at my Scottsdale practice, serving patients from Paradise Valley and throughout the Phoenix area. I evaluate your skin, explain what Ellacor can realistically achieve, and tailor your treatment plan to your goals. You’ll work directly with me throughout treatment and follow-up care.
