benign lesions
There are many common lesions that grow on the skin, especially with age. Seborrheic keratosis are rough brown lesions that appear stuck to the skin. Cherry angiomas are asymptomatic red bumps. Milia are white pinpoint bumps due to clogged pores. Lentigines are brown spots from sun damage. Overgrown oil glands are yellowish bumps called sebaceous hyperplasia. Warts and molluscum are caused by viral skin infections. Schedule an appointment to be sure your lesions are not harmful and to discuss treatment and removal options.
how are benign lesions treated?
Removal options depend on the type of lesion or growth. Benign lesions can be ignored but if removal desired common options are cryosurgery, electrocautery, shave removal, lamprobe, chemical peels and laser.
